Essential Faux Wood shutters are designed with a simplified frame system for straightforward, standard recessed window installations. Unlike our Premium range, our Essential Faux Wood shutter does not include internal or front-facing cover strips for concealing fixings. Instead, it uses a simpler finish, with stickers to cover the screws, which limits flexibility for angled or non-recess installations.
Because of this, our Essential Faux Wood range is not recommended for bay windows or non-recess fits. For these types of installations, we recommend choosing our Premium Faux Wood shutters, which are designed to deliver a cleaner, more flexible finish across a wider range of window types.
To correctly measure your windows for custom shutters, use a steel tape measure and take three width and three height measurements, then use the smallest in each case. This helps account for any uneven walls or frames and ensures your shutters are manufactured to fit precisely.
